Muthuvalloor Grama Panchayat covers an area of 26.09 square kilometres. The Panchayat is bounded by Cheekode Grama Panchayat to the north; Kuzhimanna and Areekode Grama Panchayats to the east; Kondotty, Kuzhimanna and Nediyiruppu Grama Panchayats to the south; and Pulikkal and Kondotty Grama Panchayats to the west.

Muthuvalloor is a Panchayat with a literacy rate of 80%. The region has several attractive destinations that have the potential to draw tourists, including Kallu Vettimala, Narimada, the Cave, Irattakinar, and Para Kulam, which is known for its large banyan tree and Namaskara Kallu.

The major hills located within the Panchayat include Mayilamparamala, Kunnathmala, Thaliyil Purayamala, Nellikkunnu Mala, Chirakkal Cholamala, Vallikkattukunnu Mala, Ikkalloor Puraya Mala, and Karingara Mala.

From a physiographic perspective, Muthuvalloor Grama Panchayat lies in the midland region of Kerala. The major crops cultivated in the Panchayat include banana, black pepper, betel leaves, cashew and various vegetables.

Vachaal Thodu and Marath Thodu are the major irrigation resources in the Panchayat. The Panchayat has 22 ponds, which, if properly maintained and utilized, can serve not only agricultural purposes but also contribute to the availability and distribution of clean water.
